¶ 5 Leave a comment on paragraph 5 0 Gerald R. Leslie was Acting Editor of Marriage and Family Living (MFL) while Editor Harold Christensen was in Denmark on a Research Fulbright Fellowship.
¶ 6 Leave a comment on paragraph 6 0 A special issue of MFL was published in August 1958 on the topic “Government Services Affecting American families.” Hugh Carter, Chief of the Marriage and Divorce Analysis section of the National Office of Vital Statistics, was the guest editor.
¶ 7 Leave a comment on paragraph 7 0 “The Teacher Exchange” made its appearance in the February 1958 issue of MFL. This section, designed for high school family life educators, was sponsored jointly with the American Social Hygiene Association. The first editor was Christine Beasley. Reprints from the initial issue went to every high school superintendent in the United States. There was no charge during the first year. Winston Erhmann prepared a “Review of Family Research,” as he had for 1954 through 1956. “News and Notes” was no longer carried in the journal. Ruth Jewson began editing the NCFR Newsletter.
