¶ 1 Leave a comment on paragraph 1 0 John Touliatos, Association of Councils President, chaired a committee on long-range planning to better unify the councils and provide financial resources.
¶ 2 Leave a comment on paragraph 2 0 The Feminism and Family Studies Section celebrated its 10th anniversary by selling specially designed greeting cards and holding a special reception honoring Alexis Walker for her efforts at initiating the first focus group to become a section.

¶ 4 Leave a comment on paragraph 4 0 The Ethnic Minorities Section revised its constitution to comply with NCFR by-laws. The Directory of Professionals and Researchers in the Area of Ethnic Minorities and Black Families, compiled by Harland London (1988 and 1990), was undergoing revision.
¶ 5 Leave a comment on paragraph 5 0 The Family and Health Section gave two student awards. The International Section was attracting more attendees to the conference from other countries. The Family Policy Section continued to offer pre-conference workshops on policy updates. The Religion and Family Life Section gave its first student award. The Family Therapy Section met with the Oregon Family Therapy section at a luncheon attended by 46 people.
