McLoyd, Toby Epstein Jayaratne, Rosario Ceballa, and Julio Borques, of the University of Michigan, for their 1994 article in the journal Child Development, “Unemployment and Work Interruption Among African-American Single Mothers: Effects on Parenting and Adolescent Socio-Emotional Functioning.”

8 Leave a comment on paragraph 8 0 A new award honoring Ruth Jewson was announced. This award was to be for the best dissertation proposal in the area of family studies. Sections were to make nominations, and endowment funds for the award were being raised. The first award would be given in 1997.
