¶ 2 Leave a comment on paragraph 2 0 The first Marie Peters Award was given to Harriette P. McAdoo of Howard University. The award was presented by Ouida Westney, chair of the award committee.
¶ 3 Leave a comment on paragraph 3 0 The Student Award went to Katherine R. Allen of Syracuse University. She became a member of the Texas Women’s University, and later a professor at Virginia Polytech University in Blacksburg.
